    This study of people who lived 850000 years ago is eye-opening. I never thought of humans as NOT at the top of the food chain! What a scary life. But certainly, brains ARE stronger than brawn.

      I agree with you. It’s hard to imagine a life when we were prey. That’s what got me started–how did we survive. I’m pretty comfortable I know how that happened now.

      They did. They had no reason to think differently. As far as Xhosa and her kind knew, animals were as clever as she was.
