It’s A Secret Till We Get It!
Life is really tough sometimes. I have found myself in need a bit of inspiration and motivation of late. Sometimes it is just a matter of letting go of the way you have defined yourself your entire life and starting over again. The problem with that is you don’t always get it right, but these inspirational quotes and videos hold a secret, but it is not really secret. It is just life and how you choose to look at it. My take away..

INSPIRATIONAL QUOTES & VIDEOS
As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives. -Henry David Thoreau
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~Unknown
We pay a heavy price for our fear of failure. It is a powerful obstacle to growth. It assures the progressive narrowing of the personality and prevents exploration and experimentation. There is no learning without some difficulty and fumbling. If you want to keep on learning, you must keep on risking failure — all your life. – John W. Gardner (1912-2002)
“Experience is not what happens to you; it’s what you do with what happens to you.” Aldous Huxley
“Whatever your calling in life, banish the lethargy and malaise that easily besets us all, and pursue your dream with relentless forward motion. Keep walking and never lie at anchor” ~ George Chingarande
“Life is like photography, we use the negatives to develop.” ~unknown
You either march to one tune or dance to another. – Quote from the movie Swing Kids. (LOL, I think I want to Dance to my own Tune! Is that the best of both worlds, or having my cake and eating too?)

“Out of doubt, out of dark, to the days rising, I rode singing in the sun, sword unsheathing. To hope’s end I rode, and to hearts breaking, over death, over dread, over doom lifted, out of loss, out of life, unto long glory…” ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Return of the King

“Use the negative to develope” I like that one. So true. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I can’t believe I missed my first Insecure Writer’s blog hop. I’m putting October’s on the calendar.
Thank you for stopping by too. Looking forward to seeing you in October.
thanks so much for the inspiration Juneta, and that’s a beautiful drawing you made, love the color combination!
Thank you. It is one of the few thing I just sketched off the top of my head. I like to play at sketching and that was during a time when I was experimenting with oil pastels. I love horses, pegasus and dance, so it was a sort of combination of those likes, power, speed, flight and motion.
This is a plethora of inspiration and motivation. In fact, now I want to go write something! 🙂
It is. Yeah You! Go Forth and Write, lol.
We all need inspiration and motivation sometimes in our lives. I very much like your take-aways.
One of my favorite poems is by Joseph Morris:
Give me the courage, Lord, to sail
my boat out from the shore.
I’d rather know the ocean’s gale
and hear the tempest’s roar
Than anchor safely in some bay
because fear conquered me.
Let craft less daring inland stay…
be mine the pathless sea.
What a beautiful poem, thank you sharing it with me.
