I really learned a lot about the science behind this little rule and how one tiny action can have a tremendous impact on a psyche.  It fits into all I’ve been learning about habit, the brain and the subconscious for the last two weeks.  I really enjoyed watching Mel’s motivational talks and will continue to do so.

CHECK OUT HER TED TALK BELOW! I just re-watched the TEDtalk.  The 5 Second Rule is about taking any action that will link/marry the idea you have with action by interrupting the pattern loop of habit so you will continue to act on it instead of dismissing it or never getting back to it.  It makes sense.  This jewel comes at the end of the talk.  I highly recommend her other talks which you can find on YouTube and her website.
