Totally okay to stop for a while — even the ever-whirring mind of an author needs a rest!

I’ve had something stop me from writing for a while (burnout, stress, surgery, illness), but I’ve always come back to it and had the hope to write again. I understand that need to tell a story that you described. I love my characters and their world too much to ever stop writing.

Thanks for adding the book club selection graphic! Take care!

Quitting for a while to refresh is good, and it has helped me continue. Good post, Juneta.

I’m still waiting for life to find a way but one day it will.

Having a break is okay because even in a break we find ourselves texting or writing notes, which means we really haven’t given up writing.
Wishing you the very best and take care.

    I am an author!
I stopped for a few years. But one more story prodded me and now I have another book coming out.

That’s okay when you need to stop writing for a season or two. The important thing is that you come back to your writing.
