August 6 question – What is the most unethical practice in the publishing industry?
ANWSER:
I don’t really know nor thought about it much. I guess not wanting to pay authors what they deserve for their work. Taking away ways we make money and making it not work, or non-existent by creating a pay-to-play system. Taking away Indie friendly tools that have become nonexistent in a pay to play system. .

I never thought about fair pay for indie writers, since it’s generally so difficult to go the traditionally published route (agent search, publishing house search, indie marketing, self-promotion — all when most of us would rather be writing. May the rest of the summer bring you good writing sessions!

Yes, writers deserve to be paid fairly.

I hope those ‘publishing’ swindlers will get what they deserve.

Crappy when publishers don’t pay their authors!

I really would like to publish traditionally at some point, but I also don’t really see many good reasons to do it anymore. They make you market your book and do anything yourself anyway, why should they take a cut of your money if you have to do it all anyway?
