Writing From Juneta’s Desk Goals

FROM JUNETA’S DESK

unnamed

I have decided to start a new series of blogs called, From Juneta’s Desk.  These posts are about my thoughts, my interests, my writing to lifestyle or philosophy.  I hope you enjoy them.

Last week I posted about my favorite books on writing. This week I am putting up a list of articles I enjoyed reading. This list is also under top menu Writer’s Resources.  I have added several new articles, since I first made it available on my site.

My writing motto as of 2015 is Write forwards, not backwards.

MY GOAL FOR 2015:  Rediscover the fun in writing and keep it going. Write forward not backwards. Complete my first draft and create 15-20 short stories.  Focus on projects one at a time to avoid distraction, except when in need of a break in order to come back with clearer eyes.

WRITING ARTICLES LIST

CHECK OUT THESE WRITERS AND WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT WRITING.   SOME ARTICLES ARE ABOUT COPYWRITING, IF YOU ARE A FICTION WRITER SOME OF THESE PRINCIPLES CONTAIN WITHIN CAN BE USED TO HARNESS,  PROMOTE AND IMPROVE YOUR OWN WRITING.  Part of my reason for creating these list is so when I am ready to launch I can refer back to the articles for reminders, hints and some direction.  I hope you enjoy them too.

I write for the ambitious scribe who splashes and thrashes to the point of choking in a tsunami of toner, trying to tame that big rogue breaker into smaller waves an actual readership might want to surf with you. Fiction writing smolders down to the basic concept of good versus evil.  A good story will include a hero and a villain duking it out in a twisted plot designed to keep the reader on their toes. The really good stories—the ones we can’t put down—are home to unlikely and flawed heroes, i.e. the perfect hero. But how do we as writers and authors create the perfect hero? Is there a formula? Or do they just magically spring into existence on the page?  READ MORE HERE  Fiction Writing: Creating The Perfect Hero by Cori Davan
