The dictionary definition of philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems concerning matters such as existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language. Philosophy is distinguished from other ways of addressing these questions (such as mysticism or mythology) by its critical, generally systematic approach and its reliance on reasoned argument. Philosophy comes from the Greek φιλοσοφία [philosophia], which literally translates to “love of wisdom”. A synonym of philosophy is the Greek φιλαλήθεια [philalethia], which translates as “love of truth.” Wikipedia
“As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.” -Henry David Thoreau
Life is an attitude.
Philosophize your way through life, at least you are searching for the reason, rather than accepting any ole thing that life throws your way.

Attitude can make you or break you. It affects everyone around you. What kind of day are you having? Is it your attitude or someone else that has rained on your parade or made your day?
“Life is 10 percent what you make it and 90 percent how you take it.” ― Irving Berlin

Living life in the here and now is an active choice, not passive acceptance.

“Don’t walk behind me; I may not lead. Don’t walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend.” Albert Camus
Leadership is solving problems, not creating them. The strongest voice is that of example.
“The day soldiers stop bringing you their problems is the day you have stopped leading them. They have either lost confidence that you can help, or concluded you do not care. Either case is a failure of leadership.” Colin Powell

Strive for truth with diplomacy, tact, and compassion. There is no honor when your truth injures and inflicts pain on the innocent or gains stature by humiliating and breaking others just because you can.
